Hello MountainAdoras!
Happy September – I’m looking forward to some cooler temps and maybe a little rain as we move towards fall! We have a handful of things on the calendar this month if you’re looking for some riding partners.
RIDES
BBB – We’ll continue with Monday night Bike, Burritos, and Beers as long as the daylight will allow it! Meet at Elings Park at Moser Meadow (the top near the jumps) at 5:30 for a few MTB laps and then head to Super Cucas on the West Side for burritos and beers. Be mindful as the days get shorter that the parking lots close their gates at sunset.
Women Led Road Rides – 9/23 – meet at VeloPro in Goleta at 7AM for a ride up OSM (Old San Marcos), expect 10-12 miles round trip
West Fork MTB – Join us for an intermediate MTB ride on the West Fork of Cold Springs on 9/19 at 8AM. Meet at the corner of Gibraltar and E. Mountain Drive
Please RSVP via our Strava group for rides so we know who to expect! We also communicate any last minute changes in our WhatsAp group – please reach out if you would like to be invited to the group!
CLINICS
Fundamentals + Trail Application – Join us for a womens’ MTB clinic on Sunday 9/27 from 10AM – 1PM with BICP level1 certified coach Arielle Miller. You will learn about body position, braking, shifting, climbing, descending, cornering, wheel lifts, line choice and navigating trail features in this half day clinic! The clinic will be hosted at Elings Park and the cost is $95. Registration deadline is 9/20 – we need 5 participants to host this clinic! CAMPING TRIP
KERNVILLE CAMPING TRIP - We’re planning a trip to Kernville to hang and ride The Plunge over the weekend of October 9-11th. There are still a few spots left – reach out to Nancy to secure your spot or for more details!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

JERSEY UPDATE - the Jersey order has been placed with Jakroo and we expect to have them by September 21st! Thank you for your patience as we worked with their team to make sure we got the design right!
Our next monthly meeting will be Monday September 28th at 7PM at Topa Topa in the Funk Zone. Attendance has been a bit light this summer, but we hope to see a few more of your faces there to help plan some rides and events in the upcoming months!
