July 2026
Hello MountainAdoras!
Hope you all had a nice 4th of July! We’re looking forward to a month of great biking events! Here’s what we have on our calendar:
INTERNATIONAL MTB DAY – JULY 20TH – RITUAL MTB FILM TOUR
Join us to celebrate International Mountain Bike Day with the Santa Barbara Mountain Biking community with an evening of mountain biking films and a silent auction that will support the MountainAdoras mission. Doors open at Night Lizard Brewery at 6PM with films starting at 7PM. We have some great items from the folks at Patagonia, Lonewolf Suspension, Power of Your Om, SB Forge, REI… just to name a few! Tickets are on sale now and will be $15 in advanced or $20 at the door. https://ritualmtb.myeventscenter.com/event/Santa-Barbara-Ca-Night-Lizard-Brewing-Company-125895 .
RIDES
-BBB (Bikes, Burritos and Beers) will continue Monday evenings at 5:30 at Elings Park. Join us for a few MTB laps and then head to Super Cucas on the West Side for beers and burritos. There will be no BBB on July 20th/ the evening of the Ritual MTB Film night.
- Little Tunnel Sessions – the next Little Tunnel MTB session will be Wednesday July 29th. Meet at 5:30 PM at the gate at the top of Tunnel Road (where you would start the hike to inspiration point). This is an intermediate/advanced ride on a short section of technical MTB trail. We will session any sections or features the group wants. Full suspension MTB, pads/protective gear, and flat pedals are recommended for easier on/off the bike. Reach out to Rachel with any questions!
- Women Led Road Ride – join Sof for an all-levels road ride on Tuesday 7/14 at the Mission.
- Camuesa MTB ride – 7/25 – meet at 8:30 AM at the pull-out off Via Chaparral/Cathedral Oaks (https://maps.app.goo.gl/YmdeLxLvemi4MNut5) or 9AM at the Bikers Lot on Paradise Road (https://maps.app.goo.gl/tuns4bU6UD4a6Xzt6) for a MTB ride on Camuesa. It will likely be warm out there so bring lots of water and some snacks. The Camuesa loop is an 11 mile loop with ~ 1700 ft of climbing.
SOCIAL EVENTS
- Swimming Hole Ride/Social event – Join us 7/10 for an evening in the backcountry – meet at 5:30 at the biker’s lot on Paradise Road. Bring your bathing suit, a towel, and a bev/snack of your choice. Plan is to ride to the second crossing for a swim! Friends/partners/all are welcome!
- Kernville MTB & Camping weekend – we’re organizing a camping weekend with an opportunity to ride the Canal Plunge the weekend of October 9-11. The Canal Plunge is a IMBA EPIC MTB trail featuring nearly 5K ft of descent – don’t let that fool you though! You’ll get to climb nearly 2K feet at altitude before you get that reward. Reach out to Nancy Kim (nmkim97@gmail.com) for more details and to secure your spot!
As always, our full calendar of events is listed on our website and you can keep up-to-date via our Strave group, our WhatsAp channel, or our Instagram page. Hope to see you at one of our events this month!
Happy Shredding!
